Animals

What it costs to raise each animal, what to feed it, and what it gives back. All in FLOWER, at today's market price.

At market prices, raising an animal from 0 to 15 costs more than everything it drops on the way is worth. That is not a mistake in the table: animals are here to give you eggs, milk, wool and leather for cooking, crafting and deliveries — not to be traded on.

Once at level 15

At 15 the animal stops levelling and starts looping: each turn costs the same XP the last level did and drops the same thing. This is where it spends nearly all of its life.

  • The favourite is whichever feed is worth the most XP at that level. Giving it anything else does not change the drop — only its face.
  • The cheapest is the best value per point of XP, which is not always the cheapest meal. Meals are not rounded: 10.7 means the last one is half-used and carries into the next level.
  • How much XP a feed is worth depends on the level the animal IS, not the one it is about to reach. That is why the row from 5 to 6 reads the level-5 table.
